Thanks, Mike! As you may have noticed I am going through the Gospel of John. I enjoy every part of it so far, but this story of the blind man has a special meaning to me. During a transition period in my professional life - 10 years ago - I really didn't understand why God was leading me in a certain direction. I was looking for clues and signs, but it was getting harder and harder for me to see what God wanted me to do. Looking back on this period, I am happy that the Lord guided me in this way, all the time teaching me to wait for him and to trust him even if I couldn't see where the road was leading.
Isnt that what a life of real faith is all about. The first disciples really did not know where they were going. The didn't see the cross coming they just followed.
I think we all like to plan, be prepared and have the end in sight. This works great in the business world. Trouble is, this is not how a disciple lives.
Paul,
ReplyDeleteInteresting how GOD seeks to display his glory. This is a good post. I have linked to it from my blog.
Thanks, Mike!
