Reunited

Last Saturday Robin, Sosha and Pascalle came back home after their Summer camp. They had a great time; they all need to get some sleep now! Lydia and I enjoyed our week together but it is good to be reunited again!

We did replace one piece of furniture in our living room while our kids were away. You don't want to change the interior too drastically when your kids are away, do you? Home, sweet home...

Anonymous said...: Nice piece of furniture! My parents always thought it would be funny to completely rearrange the furniture - rooms and all - whenever we kids left for a while. I came from a family of practical jokers, and we would go to a lot of trouble to baffle each other! My poor kids practically lived in fear knowing of my inclination toward playing jokes on them.

Paul said...: Yes it is! But now I have to work again... But I am not complaining, my work is fun too.
We would like to make some drastic changes in our living room, not because we don't like it as it is, but sometimes you just need a change. I've noticed that my kids are more conservative in this area, although they do like this new piece of furniture (it gives them a better look at the TV screen, ha ha).; 7/29/2008 1:33 pm

I like to rearrange furniture once in a while, too, but sometimes it's just not practical - like in this apartment. There really isn't any room to get creative. Perhaps when we are able to get a new house...after we sell the old one, of course!; 7/30/2008 1:27 pm

Have you ever wondered why God gives so much? We could exist on far less. He could have left the world flat and grey; we wouldn’t have known the difference. But he didn’t. I do not condemn theologians wholesale, but it is unfortunately the fashion in Western thinking to doubt and deny everything. I protest this tendency. I never advise anyone to consult theologians, because all too often they have completely lost all sense of spiritual reality. They can explain Greek words and all that, but they spend too much time among their books and not enough time with the Master in prayer. In the Bible clouds are always associated with God. Clouds are the sorrows, sufferings, or providential circumstances, within or without our personal lives, which actually seem to contradict the sovereignty of God. Yet it is through these very clouds that the Spirit of God is teaching us how to walk by faith. If there were never any clouds in our lives, we would have no faith. "The clouds are the dust of His feet" (Nahum 1:3). They are a sign that God is there. What a revelation it is to know that sorrow, bereavement, and suffering are actually the clouds that come along with God!
