Just to say (almost) everything's okay

Haven't been blogging for a while - just because I am too busy living my life ;-)
This is a busy time of the year with book fairs and many other things to do. I am also involved in alpha in prison ministry and that activity takes some of my time too.
Just an update... Sosha (our eldest daughter) broke her right leg two weeks ago (at the end of her soccer training). She's doing well, but this was a very painful experience and she needs several weeks to recover from it. Her right leg (shinbone and fibula) was broken just above the ankle and the doctor has places a metal plate with some little screws under her skin to re-connect the broken bones.
We will go on a short holiday to the isle of Texel with our family - just as planned. But of course we will take it easy because of Sosha's situation.
Haven't been reading any blogs recently - sorry about that too... Just drop me a line if there's anything I really need to know. Blessings to all of you!

No worries, I'm still alive and well

As a matter of fact, it is my 46th birthday today! Yes, thank you! ;-)

Some blog readers and friendly commenters started to get a little bit worried about the silence on this blog.
I'm sorry about that, but I feel more quilty for not reading other people's blogs recently... There's a lot of catching up to do!

Is there an explanation? Yes, I've been a little bit ill (just the usual cold) and very busy with work and church activities - we are preparing an Alpha in Prison course for January 2007, for example! - and Sosha's and Pascalle's newly build bed rooms also need a lot of my spare time and attention. I am happy to say that the building activities are finished now, so I only have to do some painting and decorating. The wall papering and painting is finished now and I hope to start with the laminate flooring next Saturday. I will upload some pics soon - and at the end of this month (around Christmas) I will have some more time for my blogging activities.

I do not condemn theologians wholesale, but it is unfortunately the fashion in Western thinking to doubt and deny everything. I protest this tendency. I never advise anyone to consult theologians, because all too often they have completely lost all sense of spiritual reality. They can explain Greek words and all that, but they spend too much time among their books and not enough time with the Master in prayer. Clouds are the sorrows, sufferings, or providential circumstances, within or without our personal lives, which actually seem to contradict the sovereignty of God.
