And this is Pascalle's blue & white bed room

Today I finished Pascalle's romantic blue & white bed room too! She has the same bed and desk (with add-on unit) as her teenage sister Sosha - see last posting. The bed / sofa can also be used as a double bed in case nieces, nephews or friends want to sleep over. But we can also use these two double beds when we have grown-up guests!

We want to make a big wardrobe with sliding doors in the little corner next to the bed where we also want to hang an IKEA chair (see pic right). Pascalle still needs to decide where she wants to hang the green poster with the sweet little doggie. She assisted her daddy by keeping him company every now and then, by handing over the tools and screws - she persistently calls them nails - and by bringing soft drinks and chips upstairs. She even fell down the stairs yesterday with a plate full of paprika chips :-( but she's okay now and very happy :-) with her new bed room...

No worries, I'm still alive and well

46As a matter of fact, it is my 46th birthday today! Yes, thank you! ;-)

Some blog readers and friendly commenters started to get a little bit worried about the silence on this blog.
I'm sorry about that, but I feel more quilty for not reading other people's blogs recently... There's a lot of catching up to do!

Is there an explanation? Yes, I've been a little bit ill (just the usual cold) and very busy with work and church activities - we are preparing an Alpha in Prison course for January 2007, for example! - and Sosha's and Pascalle's newly build bed rooms also need a lot of my spare time and attention. I am happy to say that the building activities are finished now, so I only have to do some painting and decorating. The wall papering and painting is finished now and I hope to start with the laminate flooring next Saturday. I will upload some pics soon - and at the end of this month (around Christmas) I will have some more time for my blogging activities.

Christmas blessings from the Netherlands and stay tuned my friends!

Roof extension and extra bedroom

Today the builders will come to change the shape of our roof and create space for an extra bedroom. Our daughters Sosha (13) and Pascalle (10) share one bedroom now, but this room will be enlarged and split in two separate bedrooms. I hope to upload some pics here to show you the changes that will take place during the next 3 weeks.
This is the current situation and the new situation as already realised at one of our neighbours' houses. (Click pics to enlarge)
